Description

Same as Facility Technician II and performs general handyman repairs, including: locks, lighting, patch and paint, minor electrical and minor plumbing.

Travel to job sites in Bay Area, primarily south bay and peninsula.

Requirements

This position interacts directly with clients. Superior soft skills, including: a positive attitude, a strong work-ethic, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required.

  • GED or above with additional vocational training.
  • Performs work with appropriate attention to safety to self and others.
  • Physically able to perform work that may include heavy lifting and climbing ladders.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Current CA drivers license with clean driving record.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, when required.
  • Timely and accurate reporting of hours and expenses
  • Demonstrated proficiency of problem solving and repair skills required of a general handyman.
  • Provides own tools.
  • Three years experience in apartment maintenance, corporate facilities or similar environment.
  • Ability to work independantly with minimal supervision
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient organizations skills to plan and follow work through to completion.
  • Proficient computer skills (email, web, Word and Excel).

Desired Skills

  • Fluency in multiple languages.
  • Familiar with floor plans and technical documentation.
  • Trade certifications or licenses.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
